In order to disseminate information and make lawyers and litigants aware about Coronavirus pandemic, the J&K High Court is using Short Messaging Services (SMS).
Around 1.89 lakh SMSes have been sent by the Court anddistrict courts of J&K and Ladakh UTs to the lawyers and litigants.
Various advisories/guidelines/help-lines issued by WHO,Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and J&K Health and MedicalEducation Department were being conveyed through SMSes.
The move is a part of the measures taken by the Court tosensitize lawyers and litigants especially those residing in far flung areas ofJ&K and Ladakh UTs on Coronavirus pandemic.
