COVID-19 | ‘Centre sending ventilators, medical items through air cargo’

Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education Atal Dulloo today stressed on the need for timely interventions and directed the officials to prepare a combined comprehensive format detailing any issues/problems – to be updated daily.

An official statement said coordination teams have beenconstituted to ensure movement of essential goods and services, and to overcomethe difficulties arising out of restrictive/ prohibitory measure.

   

Dullo said this combined report should include statisticaldata and figures, details of patients quarantined/under surveillance/number ofbeds, PPE, masks, etc available/number of recoveries among other pertinentdetails, permission granted/industries, manufacturing units functional amongall other relevant details pertinent to each and every department as part ofthe task force.

Information department was asked to regularly publicize thehelpline numbers on social media as well as in Print and electronic media atUT, Division, District and Local level.

The meeting was also informed that the Centre  is sending ventilators and other medicalfacilities to both Jammu and Srinagar today through air cargo service.

He was also informed that a number of doctors, paramedical,nurses have applied for joining in GMC- Srinagar and GMC Jammu, DHS-Jammu andDHS Srinagar. He asked the concerned to maintain proper database/details of theaugmented Human Resource, besides directing for intensifying contact tracingand surveillance process, especially in red Zone areas.
