COVID-19 protocols to continue till Mar 31 in J&K: Govt

The Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Friday said that all existing protocol and instructions of the COVID-19 situation would continue to remain valid till 31st March 2021.

The State Executive Committee, J&K, issued the guidelines and instructions on lockdown measures in J&K stating, “The Union Home Secretary in his capacity as Chairperson, National Executive Committee (NEC) vide order No 40-3/2020-DM-I (A) dated 26 February 2021 has issued guidelines for implementation of the extended lockdown in containment zones (red zones) and continuation of unlock guidelines outside containment zones till 31st March 2021.”

   

The guidelines state, “In exercise of powers conferred under Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the State Executive Committee hereby orders that the guidelines and instructions issued vide J&K government’s Order No 03 and 04-JK-(DMRRR) of 2021 dated 31 January 2021 will continue to remain valid 31 March 2021.”

It said that all existing protocols and instructions would also continue to remain valid till 31st March 2021.
