Jammu and Kashmir government today reconstituted screening committee for promotion of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to the grade of Director General of Police, Additional Director General of Police or equivalent posts.
As per government order issued by General Administration Department, B.V.R Subrahmanyam, Chief Secretary, J&K has been appointed as chairman of the committee.
Atal Dulloo, Financial Commissioner, Health & Medical Education Department, Shaleen Kabra, Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, Dilbag Singh, Director General of Police, J&K were appointed as members of the committees, an official handout said.
“The committee (has been) reconstituted in pursuance of the IPS Promotion Guidelines and in supersession of Government Order No.37-GAD of 2019 dated January 8. Sanction has been accorded to the re-constitution of the Screening Committee to consider the promotion of IPS Officers to the grade of Director General of Police/Additional Director General of Police or equivalent posts,” the statement said.
The Committee shall be serviced by the Home Department.
