Day 6: NHM employees continue to agitate

The National Health Mission (NHM) employees continued their protest in favour of their demands here in the winter capital of the State on the sixth consecutive day on Saturday.

The agitating employees are demanding regularisation of services, inclusion of 7th pay commission, social security benefits, permanent abolishing of contractor system, equal pay work as per Haryana by laws, transfer policy as per Ladakh model and conversion of data entry operators into regular NHM employees.

Under the banner of All JKNHM Employees Association, the female employees including NHM employees from Kashmir and Ladakh divisions assembled at Exhibition Ground Jammu and raised slogans against the authorities for not redressing their genuine demands.

They blamed the previous PDP-BJP dispensation as well as Governor’s administration for delay in initiating the process of their regularisation.

Meanwhile, the agitating employees decided to extend the peaceful protest up to 72 hours from January 20 onwards if the government fails to fulfill their demands by the date.
