Deputy commissioner Kathua Rohit Khajuria was duped of Rs 50,000 by an unknown caller on Thursday, police sources claimed on Friday.
They said, “On Thursday, between 2 pm to 2:23 pm, DC Kathua received a card, allegedly from a man claiming to be a bank official. The caller asked the DC that his ATM card should be linked with Aadhar. Subsequently, the DC even shared his ATM pin with the caller, who later withdrew Rs 50,000 from his account.”
An FIR has been registered.
