DGP SP Vaid launches ‘Clean Jammu Clean Tawi’ campaign

Director General of Police, SP Vaid, along with Bharti Vaid, chairperson J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), on Tuesday flagged off a vehicle for intensive coverage of a three-day-long campaign titled “Clean Jammu, Clean Tawi.”

Addressing media men here Vaid said: “The aim of the campaign is to make Jammu, the city of temples, cleanest city of the country.”

   

“I earnestly request people of Jammu, Kashmir and other non-state residents living in Jammu to make Jammu the cleanest city of the country. Without your support, our mission will never be successful,” the DGP said.

Vaid also said that similar campaign would be launched in Srinagar city in the month of September.

“Srinagar is the pride of the country and Jammu and Kashmir in particular. We also want to see Srinagar as the cleanest city of the country. To make this happen, we will launch similar campaign in Srinagar in the month of September,” Vaid said.

He appealed people from all sections of the society to help the PWWA in achieving its dream of making the twin capital cities of the state as the cleanest cities. 

Bharti Vaid, chairperson PWWA appealed media to create awareness among the masses about cleanliness of the Jammu and River Tawi.

She thanked Jammu and Kashmir police and other government departments who helped the PWWA in awareness about the “Clean Jammu, Clean Tawi campaign.”
