Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, today convened a meeting with officers of Revenue department to review progress on land acquisition and compensation cases.
The meeting was attended by concerned Sub DivisionalMagistrates of District Jammu and Tehsildars while Deputy Commissioners ofKathua, Samba and Jammu along with other concerned officers attended themeeting through video conferencing.
The Deputy Commissioners apprised the Div Com of the casewise progress of all land related issues of the project. They further informedabout the number of final awards issued so far and number of cases pending intheir respective districts.
The Div Com also sought the details of compensation amountdisbursement among the land owners whose land has been occupied under theproject.
The DCs informed about the amount disbursed so far in theirrespective districts.
The Div Com directed the Deputy Commissioners to resolve theremaining land issues and ensure early issuance of final awards and disbursethe compensation amount to the beneficiaries.
