Mubarak Mandi, the heritage destination in the congested old Jammu city, on Tuesday witnessed an unusual visitor when NC president and MP Dr Farooq Abdullah made it to a popular tea-stall in the thin marketplace to have tea with local snacks.
The news about the NC president being in the vicinity,spread like wildfire, drawing crowds including some Mata Vaishno Devi-boundtourists to have interaction with him.
Exchanging pleasantries with the tea stall owner, AshokKumar, an avid fan of the NC Chief, Farooq Abdullah sat on a wooden bench alongwith NC Provincial President Devender Singh Rana and other party functionariesand called for tea and some snacks.
Responding to the sentiment, he assured that he willcontinue to raise his voice for the welfare of people and development of Jammuand Kashmir, a statement here said
