A father-son duo Saturday died in a tragic road mishap on Jammu-Pathankot highway in Samba district.
Police said that a van bearing registration number JK21E-7482 was hit by an over-speeding Tralla bearing registration number RJ31GA-5881 at Mansar Morh (Samba). The man and his son were returning from Ludhiana.
In this road mishap, police said five persons travelling in the van suffered injuries, three of them critically. They were evacuated to the hospital where the father-son duo was declared as brought dead.
The deceased have been identified as Sohan Lal, 35 and his father Hans Raj, 70, son of Shollu Ram, both residents of Chumbian. Out of three injured, police said, the critically injured youth namely Gourav, son of Yashpaul, resident of Ramgarh was shifted to the GMC Jammu for advanced treatment.
