On the 226th birth anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh, the first ever film on him titled ‘Gulab Gatha’ will be released on October21, here at Abhinav Theatre.

Sharing details about the film, Natrang director, Balwant Thakur informed that this will be a unique venture of Natrang aimed at documentation and dissemination of the untold glorious history of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He thanked Dr Karan Singh for inspiring him and believing in his abilities to write, produce and direct the first ever film on Dogra history.

Thakur said the film ‘Gulab Gatha’ is about the journey of a soldier who achieves great success at everything he initiated. His unquestionable obligatory obedience towards Lahore Durbar, his unconditional sacrifice and his conception of a kingdom has been regarded and given value in this.
