The Line of Control along the Poonch sector witnessed heavily shelling on Thursday.
Army officials said that in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba areas of Poonch sector on LoC, Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling on Thursday at around 5:30 pm.
“Pakistan started firing with small arms and shelling with mortars,” Jammu-based spokesman of the Indian Army, Lt Col Devander Anand said.
He said that the Indian Army was retaliating befittingly.
