Former DGP J N Saksena passes away

Jammu, Dec 11: Former director general of police J N Saksena passed away on Saturday at New Delhi.
 A condolence meeting was held at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here this morning which was presided over by Kuldeep Khoda, Director General of Police, and was attended by senior police officers. Recalling his services, Khoda said that Saksena played crucial role in combating militancy during 1989 to January 1992 in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that late police chief steered the organization in a professional manner.
  He expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Saksena while paying for peace to the departed soul, He expressed solidarity with the grief stricken family. A two-minute silence was also observed on the occasion.
 Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed grief and shock over his demise.
 Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah has expressed profound grief over the death of ex DGP of Jammu and Kashmir.
 Dr Farooq prayed for peace to the departed soul and patience to the woeful family members to bear this irreparable loss.
