GAD approval must for fresh recruitments in School Education Department

Jammu and Kashmir government has made it mandatory for the School Education Department to conduct any fresh recruitment only with the approval of the General Administration Department.

It is important to mention her that the State AdministrativeCouncil vide decision number 166/22/2018 dated 07-12-2018, approved theproposal with regard to the appointment of Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers engagedunder SarvaShikshaAbhiyan (SSA), now SamagraShiksha.

   

The SAC decision was subsequently notified by the SchoolEducation Department.

The SAC decision further stipulated that the supernumeraryposts created/converted vide SAC decision shall be abolished/restored withvacation of incumbent teacher grade-I1 due to resignation, superannuation,death, promotion or otherwise in due course of time.

As the process of appointment of ReTs/SSA teachers asteacher grade-11 is still going on and will take some time to complete and asthe final vacancy position will be known only after completion of the exerciseenvisaged in the SAC decision of 7.12.2018, “the School Education Department isdirected that any fresh recruitment/referral of vacancies for selections by anyagency under any category of the posts, teaching or non-teaching, will be doneonly with the concurrence of GAD till further instructions. The department willensure compliance of these instructions at all levels.
