The General Administration Department (GAD) Wednesday ordered all the officers of the government and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) stationed in Jammu to attend January 26 function as a part of their official duty.
In this regard, an official circular has been issued by the GAD Commissioner Secretary Manoj Kumar Dwivedi directing all the officials to remain at the function on January 26, 2021.
“The main function of the Republic Day-2021 is being held at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu, where the Lieutenant Governor will preside over the function and take the salute,” the circular reads.
“All officers of the government and PSUs stationed at Jammu, are called upon to attend the function as a part of their official duty,” the order reads. “All the Heads of Departments and Chief Executives of Public Sector Undertakings shall ensure their own participation and also of the employees subordinate to them in the function.”
The order has warned the officers that failure to attend the function would be construed as dereliction of duty and disobedience of government instructions.
