The election general observer, Amit Rathore for Assembly constituency Samba and Vijaypur in presence of district election officer, Samba, Sushma Chauhan and Dr Koushal Kumar, senior superintendent of police Samba, held a meeting on Tuesday morning with nodal officers of MCC, MCMC, DCC, law and order and others of Samba district.
During the meeting, the general observer sought coordinationfrom the nodal officers with regard to carrying out complete election processin a transparent and responsive manner.
He directed them to closely monitor unusual or doubtfulactivities especially while the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is enforced. Healso exhorted them to coordinate with their counterparts and facilitate for thesmooth conduct of Lok Sabha Election 2019.
Assistant returning officer (ARO), Kulbhushan Khajuria andVijay Sharma for Samba and Vijaypur constituency respectively gave briefpresentations regarding total polling stations, updation of electoral rolls andbasic minimum facilities including for PwDs at polling stations.
The district election officer (DEO), Samba, Sushma Chauhan also directed the concerned officials to monitor the functioning of flying squads, static surveillance teams and video surveillance teams in the field and urged officials to discharge their duties effectively to ensure free and fair election in the district.
