GoI examining survey report of Jammu-Poonch rail line

 The survey report of Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch railway line is being examined by the ministry of railways, MoS Rajen Gohain told Lok Sabha today in reply to question by Dr Farooq Abdullah.

Survey for the 223-kilometer railway stretch was completed in September 2017. As per the report, the cost of the project is Rs 22771crore.

   

Replying to another query regarding government of India’s plans for railway connectivity with Kashmir Valley, the MoS Railways said, “The incomplete Katra-Banihal stretch has been taken up for completion.”
