The Jammu and Kashmir government Friday constituted a committee to facilitate the laying of optical fibre in order to ensure telecom connectivity.
An order issued from the general administration departmentread, “Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a state nodal team tofacilitate the laying of optical fibre for telecom connectivity and resolvingany bottlenecks.”
As per the order, the committee comprises of commissionsecretary, forest, environment and ecology department, as chairman, andcommissioner secretary, power development department, commissioner secretary,public works (roads and buildings) department, secretary, informationtechnology department, and divisional commissioner of the concerned division,as members.
“The state nodal team shall be serviced by the information technology department,” the order further states.
