Government has decided to organize ‘Back to the Villages’ programme tentatively between June 20 to 27, touching 4500 Panchayats by Gazetted Officers.
As per government order, each officer shall spent two daysincluding one night, in the panchyat as may be allotted to him or her.
A committee also constituted to draw up the contours,workout the modalities and other details of this programme and finalize atemplate/proforma in consultation with the Deputy Commissioners for use by theofficers during their stay in the Panchayats.
Principal Secretary to the Government, Planning Developmentand Monitoring Department has been appointed as chairman of the committee.
Secretary to the Government Information Department,Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, Secretary to the Government,Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Secretary to the Government,General Administration Department and Representative of the Information Technology Department as members.
