HC defers review petitions on Roshni till December 22

The High Court Wednesday adjourned the review of petitions of judgement in the Roshni "land scam" and jointly listed all the petitions on it for December 22, 2020.

The Division Bench of the High Court comprising Acting Chief Justice, Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice Sanjay Dhar directed the registry to list all review petitions that would be filed upto December 21, 2020 to be listed on December 22 for final hearing.

Advocate General, D C Raina and Additional Advocate General Aseem Sawhney submitted before the court that around 21 review petitions had been filed in the case.

They told the bench that the registry had only listed 11 review petitions including the review petition filed by the government while rest of the review petitions had also been required to be listed along with them.

Senior lawyers including Jehangir Ganai, Z A Shah, Sunil Sethi, Gagan Basotra and several others appeared for the review petitioners.

Additional Advocate General Aseem Sawhney appeared for the J&K government and assured that copies of review petitions would be provided to the CBI's counsel.
