Indian and Pakistani troops on Friday exchanged heavy gunfire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
Defence Ministry spokesman Lt Col Devender Anand said thePakistan Army initiated unprovoked shelling with mortars and firing with smallarms from about 2.40 p.m. in the Nowshera sector.
“The Indian Army is retaliating befittingly,” theofficer said.
