The information department will be hosting a ‘live-phone-in-programme’ on Doordarshan on every Monday and Tuesday at 5 pm for a month, with the administrative secretaries of different departments and heads of departments of Kashmir division, regarding the developmental scenario and public issues.
An order issued from the office of special secretary to government, Narinder Singh Bali, read, “The aim and objective of the programme will be to highlight and disseminate the programmes, policies, activities and achievements of the government, besides creating awareness amongst the people about the initiatives taken.”
As per the order, for Jammu division (Doordarshan Kendar Jammu), administrative secretary, agriculture production and horticulture department, shall be the guest on the programme on January 22. Similarly, administrative secretary, power development department, will be the guest on January 29, administrative secretary, housing and urban development department, on February 5, and administrative secretary, social welfare department, on February 2.
For Kashmir division (Doordarshan Kendar Srinagar), director, horticulture Kashmir will be the guest on January 21, director, animal husbandry, Kashmir, on January 28, director, sheep husbandry, Kashmir, on February 3, chief engineer, PWD (R&B) department Kashmir, on February 11, and director, agriculture Kashmir, on February 18.
