The chairman of the Police Recruitment Board (PRB) for the posts of Sub Inspectors (SIs), ADG A K Choudhary on Tuesday said that the examination for the post of SIs would be held on June 24.
Earlier, in the month of April, the PRB chairman for SIs asked the Senior Superintendents of Police (SSsP) of the twin capital cities, Jammu and Srinagar, to identify the examination centres and make sure that the examination would be held either in second or the third week of June, preferably on Sunday.
As per the fresh handout issued by the PRB chairman, examination for the post of SI Executive and Armed shall be held from 11 am to 1 pm on June 24 (Sunday) while for the post of SI Telecom, the examination would be held between 3 pm and 5 pm on the same day. The candidates have been advised to reach their examination centres at 9 am and 1 pm respectively.
The written test for the candidates of Jammu and those from Leh and Kargil shall be held in Jammu while the written test of candidates of Kashmir and those from Leh and Kargil who opted for Kashmir as their centre shall be held in Kashmir. “The written examination will be consisting of multiple choice/objective type questions,” the official handout reads, adding that the questions papers for the post of SI Executive and Armed consist of 120 questions and the question paper for the post of SI Telecom consists of 100 questions.
