JK SLSA sets up helplines for labourers, students

The J&K State Legal Service Authority(SLSA) under the guidance of Justice Gita Mittal, Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Patron-in-Chief J&K SLSA and Justice Rajesh Bindal, Executive Chairman, J&K SLSA has drawn up a comprehensive plan to reach out to people in distress and help them fight their fears and anxiety in lockdown. In this connection, helplines manned by DLSA Secretaries were launched.

In order to redress thegrievances of the labourers/daily wagers belonging to other parts of thecountry and stranded in UT’s of J&K and Ladakh, a helpline is being managedby the committee comprising Amit Sharma, Secretary, DLSA Ramban (9419035006)and Rafia Hassan, Secretary, DLSA Anantnag (9149450377).

   

Anotherhelpline to redress the grievances of the people including students belongingto the UTs of J&K & Ladakh and stranded/struck up outside has beenconstituted with Faizan-ul-Haq Iqbal (9622200042) and Swati Gupta (9419190340),Secretaries, DLSA Baramulla and Samba respectively as its Nodal Officers.

Apartfrom this, another helpline for children to provide necessary educationalguidance, E-learning, knowledge about Art Galleries, World Museums or any othereducational issue has been constituted with Naushad Ahmad Khan, Secretary, DLSAJammu (9622283677) and Sandeep Kour, Secretary, DLSA Udhampur (9419223000) asnodal officers for Jammu, Noor Mohammad, Secretary, DLSA Kupwara (9419005744)and Tabasum Qadir Parrey, Secretary, DLSA Budgam (7889835567) as nodal officersfor Kashmir and Spalzes Angmo, Secretary, DLSA Leh(9419341131) and TsewangPhuntsog, Secretary, DLSA Kargil(9419978757) as nodal officers for Ladakh.

“In addition to this, about 630 PLVs spread across thelength and breadth of UTs of J&K and Ladakh are leaving no stone unturnedin extending helping hand to the people in need. The phone numbers of thesePLVs have been put in public domain so that any one in need of help canapproach them.”
