JKHDC donates Rs 10 lakh to J&K Relief Fund

Jammu and Kashmir Handloom Development Corporation (JKHDC) Tuesday donated Rs 10 lakh to J&K Relief Fund as a contribution towards the ongoing efforts being made to contain spread of coronavirus.

Managing Director JKHDC, Rakesh Sharma, presented a chequeof Rs 10 lakh to Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce Department,Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, as a donation to the Fund.

   

Sharma apprised the Commissioner Secretary that the donationforms a part of the salary of the Corporation’s employees who have contributedas per their salary grades.

He informed that JKHDC has been manufacturing the cottonface masks for supply to different government departments besides theCorporation was also offering its textile products like bed sheets, pillowcovers, and mattresses for the COVID Hospitals in this crisis.
