LG should merge Dharmarth Trust into SMVDSB: DTEA

Intensifying their agitation against the mal-practices of Dharmarth Trust, trust employees under the banner of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA) on Friday held a strong protest on the third consecutive day near Press Club here.

“We shall continue our agitation till our demands will be met by the Trust members,” protesting employees asserted. Hundreds of employees including priests from various units of the trust such as Shri Raghunath Mandir, Hari Bhawan Purmandal, Uttar Behani, Birpur and Central Office Karan Bhawan participated in the protest.

Priests expressed strong resentment over the mismanagement of Trust by blowing ‘Shankhnaad’ in the traditional dress.

Employees alleged that instead of holding negotiations with them to settle their pending demands, Trust management suspended the Association President, General Secretary and other office bearers with malafide intentions to harass and crush the trade union activities.

This attitude of Trust management, employees said,  is unfair labour practice which has created strong resentment among low paid employees.

Talking to reporters, ex-President Kernail Chand Thakur, ex-General Secretary, PritamSharma  alleged  that Secretary Dharmarth Trust suspended five employees of the trust on the plea that these employees participated in undesirable activities and used unparliamentary  language against Chairman Trustee and trust management and malign the reputation of the trust which is incorrect, baseless, manipulated and denied by the employees vide written reply submitted on November 12, 2020.
