Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday booked one person under the Arms Act in RS Pura tehsil of Jammu after it recovered a sharp-edged weapon from his possession.
A police spokesman said that a routine naka was established at Bhagat Singh Chowk, RS Pura where a police team led by HC Ajay Kumar signaled a biker coming from Satriyan towards RS Pura, but he didn’t stop.
“The naka party successfully overpowered the motorcyclist who was trying to flee. During his personal search, police recovered a sharp-edged weapon (Toka) from his possession,” the police spokesman said.
The accused has been booked in case FIR number 104/2018 under section 4/25 Arms Act at police station RS Pura and further investigation taken up.
The arrest was made by police party under the close supervision of inspector Bishnesh Kumar-SHO RS Pura and DSP Sourabh Prashar-SDPO RS Pura.
