Principal Secretary, Animal & Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department, Navin Kumar Choudhary Tuesday chaired a meeting of senior officers of various departments to review their functioning.
While addressing themeeting, the Principal Secretary said Agriculture was the backbone of theIndian economy and issues faced by farmers need to be looked into and resolvedon priority basis.
Hedirected for uploading a detailed list of beneficiary farmers who havebenefitted under various centrally sponsored schemes of various departments. Healso stressed upon them to ensure that equal benefit was provided to farmers ofboth divisions of Jammu and Kashmir.
Choudhary directed HoDs of Sheep Husbandry of both thedivisions to ensure proper advisories to poultry shops and also ensuremaintenance of social distancing at these places.
He stressed on officers to boost organic farming in Jammuand Kashmir.
