National Health Mission (NHM) employees continued their peaceful protest in favour of their demands on the fifth consecutive day here at Exhibition Ground Jammu.
The NHM employees, including their family members, mostly women and children, assembled at Exhibition Ground Jammu and raised slogans against the authorities and the previous PDP-BJP dispensation for not redressing their long pending issues.
The agitating employees have been demanding regularisation of services, immediate benefits like-inclusion in 7th pay commission, social security benefits, transfer policy as per Ladakh model and conversion of data entry operators into regular NHM Employees.
A striking employee said that on Wednesday, a high power committee meeting of the NHM employees was held with Governor SP Malik.
In the meeting, he said, the Governor listened to their genuine demands in a peaceful manner and assured them that within days their issues would be considered for redressal.
“In view of Governor’s assurance, we’ve decided to continue our protest in a peaceful manner until any positive response is given by the Governor’s office,” he said.
