Says meetings to examine bottlenecks in NRHM, RGGVY soon

Reasi/Jammu, Jan 28: Asking the administration to achieve optimum results within the stipulated time, the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today said there was a need to ensure that the fruits of development reach the people quickly.
 At a meeting of the District Development Board at Reasi, Omar noted with satisfaction the utilisation of about 71 per cent of the plan outlay so far in the current financial year in the district.
 Expressing satisfaction over achievements in different sectors, except National Rural Health Mission and RGGVY, he said meetings would be held shortly to examine the bottlenecks under these two schemes. He instructed officers to work out the savings by March 15 under district plan so that same could be used to clear the pending acquisition liabilities for different road projects.
 Omar announced Rs 25 lakhs for Kabbi Bridge, Rs 60 lakhs for requirement of four water tankers, one each for Katra, Reasi, Gool Arnas and Mahore, Rs 40 lakhs for civic amenities in semi urban villages Pouni, Arnas, Dharmadi, Mahore and Ransoo besides Rs 20 lakhs for clearing the pending liabilities under DPAP sectors in the district.
 Later addressing a congregation of the devotees of Guru Ravi Dass in Jammu, Omar asserted that justice would equally percolate to every section of the society during his tenure adding NC-Congress coalition was above the politics of creed, caste, colour, religion or region.
 “We have joined hands to ensure equitable development to all regions and equal opportunities of progress and prosperity to all sections without any consideration,” he maintained.
 Omar said upliftment of backward sections and speedy progress of under-developed areas had been prominently focused for the growth and development.
 Omar said the Government was determined to transform the economic scenario in the state.
 Reminding the people of the teachings of Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj, Omar said that Guru Ji taught and preached high principles of humanism, urging the society to always think and work on this philosophy.
