State government on Thursday constituted four committees viz. at State, district, project, and village levels for the implementation of scheme for adolescent girls in Jammu and Kashmir.
A government order said that Administrative secretary, health and medical education department, shall be chairman of the State level committee, while deputy commissioner concerned shall be the chairman of the district level committee.
The project level committee shall be headed by district programme officer, ICDS and village level committee shall be headed by woman gram panchayat member from the village.
The State level committee shall ensure the effective implementation of the scheme at State level.
It will review, monitor and advice on matters relating to the implementation of the scheme, cause the convergence across the stakeholders departments and meet quarterly or as and when required on the notice of the chairperson.
