Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Monday staged a demonstration against the Hindu Mahasabha for re-enacting assassination of Mahatma Gandhi in Uttar Pradesh some days back, a video of which has gone viral.
In the video, Hindu Mahasabha national secretary Puja Shakun Pandey is seen shooting the effigy of Mahatma Gandhi amid cheers and garlanding the statue of Nathuram Godse, the assassinator of the Father of the Nation.
On Monday, the PCC leaders, including Mula Ram, Raman Bhalla, RS Zora, RS Chib, Ravinder Sharma, Mohammad Nayaz Sharif, Thakur Balwant Singh, Rajnish Sharma, Manmohan Singh Pinka, Asgar Ali Karbali, Vikram Malhotra, Hari Singh Chib, Indu Pawar and other leaders, raised slogans against the UP government and Hindu Mahasabha for enacting the drama.
Addressing the protesters, Mir said, “Organisations like Hindu Mahasabha are trying to bring anarchy in the Country. They do not respect the Constitution of the Country. By reenacting the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, they’ve insulted every Indian.”
He demanded stern action against the Hindu Mahasabha leader who shoot in the effigy of the Father of the Nation.
