Police register 218 FIRs against lockdown violators

J&K Police have registered 218 FIRs against those violating prohibitory orders, to ensure complete lockdown across J&K.

The FIRs have beenregistered for defying the orders of lockdown issued by the government aimed tostop or break down the chain of Covid-19.

   

In Anantnag, Pulwama,Shopian, Kulgam and Awantipora, districts of south Kashmir, police haveregistered 28 FIRs.

In central Kashmir’sSrinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal districts, police have registered 14 FIRs. Innorth Kashmir’s Baramulla, Kupwara, Handwara, Sopore and Bandipora district, 27FIRs have been registered.

In Jammu, Samba and Kathuadistricts police have registered 50 FIRs and In Udhampur and Reasi districts 13FIRs have been registered.

Similarly, 21 FIRs havebeen registered in Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts. In Rajouri and Poonchdistricts, police have registered 65 FIRs.

Jammu, Srinagar policehospitals have established more help-lines for the police personnel and theirfamilies for immediate assistance.
