Police register 38 FIRs, seize 547 vehicles, shops

Taking strict actions against the violators of prohibitory orders, Jammu and Kashmir Police today registered 38 FIRs against the offenders and seized 547 number of shops and vehicles for defying the restrictions in view of COVID-19.

According to police statement, till yesterday 218 FIRs werelodged against the offenders.

   

“In North Kashmir Range Six FIRs were registered against theviolators and in Central Kashmir Range four FIRs have been registered. In SouthKashmir Range J&K Police registers two FIRs against the violators.Similarly in Jammu Samba Kathua range 22 FIRs have been  registered.

In Udhampur Reasi range one FIR was registered. JK Policealso registered three FIRs in Rajouri Poonch range. Besides registering FIRs547 number of vehicles and shops have been seized so far by the Jammu KashmirPolice for defying the government orders,” said the statement.

Police also released audio advisories in Udru and Dogrilanguages on social media for the general public to make them aware about theprecautions and measures that must be taken by one and all for their safety andfor the safety of community.
