Post air strike: 5 soldiers injured in LoC skirmishes

Five Indian army soldiers were injured in intense firingbetween Indo-Pak troops on multi-sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) sincelate evening.

As per sources, five army soldiers injured in Keri-Battalsector Akhnoor in cross border shelling.

   

The intense multi-sector firing came after Indian AirForces’ air strike on a militant camp in Pakistan.

They added that two soldiers with grievous injured have beenreferred to Military Hospital for the treatment while three received minorinjuries.

Earlier, Jammu based defence spokesperson said that Pakistanviolated cease fire along LoC in Akhnoor, Nowshera, Krishna Ghati Sectors of Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch distrcts.

“Around 5.30, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefireviolation by heavy shelling with mortars and firing of small arms along LoC inAkhnoor, Nowshera and Krishna Ghati Sectors,” the spokesperson said.

He maintained that Indian Army was retaliating strongly andeffectively.

However, due to prevailing situation along the LoC, districtadministration Rajouri announced holiday for schools falling within a radius of5 kilometers from the Line.

Quoting army sources, PTI said that Pakistan army resortedto heavy mortar shelling on 55 forward areas in Jammu, Rajouri and Poonchdistricts after IAF jets struck a JeM camp across the LoC.
