Commissioner secretary Labour and Employment department, Saurabh Bhagat, today reviewed the preparedness for the launch of Pradhan Mantri Shram-Yogi Maandhan (PM-SYM) pension scheme in the State.
The review meeting was among others attended by Yash Paul Suman, Director Employment, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Labour Commissioner.
The commissioner secretary asked the implementing agencies to ensure that all preparations are put in place for the timely launch of the innovative initiative. In this regard, he constituted a Committee which would include members from the department and the implementing agencies as well.
The pension scheme is targeted to provide unorganised sector workers a monthly income of up to Rs 15,000.
