Principal Secretary Technical Education, Raj Kumar Goyal, called on Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here on Thursday, an official spokesman said.
He said that Goyal briefed the Governor about thefunctioning of Technical Education system and various initiatives taken by thedepartment for promoting the academic interests of the students.
The Governor observed that the Technical EducationDepartment should ensure the provision of quality educational facilities forstudents at all levels so that they can develop advanced theoretical andpractical knowledge in skilled trades, modern technologies and careerpreparation.
Goyal, who is also holding the Additional charge ofPrincipal Secretary, Floriculture, Parks & Gardens and Informationdepartment, apprised the Governor about several important administrative issuespertaining to the concerned departments.
