Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will lay a wreath at Kargil War Memorial in Dras on Saturday on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of Operation Vijay against Pakistan in J&K’s Kargil sector.
The minister will also dedicate to the nation two bridges built by Border Roads Organisation at Ujh in Kathua district and Basantar in Samba district.
As per Defence Ministry spokesperson, the minister will leave from Delhi in the morning for Srinagar tomorrow and will then head straight towards Dras, Kargil, where he would pay tributes at Kargil War Memorial to the soldiers who laid down their lives in the Kargil War 1999.
The Defence Minister will also interact with troops in Kargil. “In the afternoon he will inaugurate one kilometer long Ujh bridge, and 617.4 meter long Basantar bridge and will hold media interactions before leaving for Delhi,” he added.
