Robbers last night decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs and a shotgun from a jeweler shop in Kathua.
Owner of ‘Abushan Jeweller’, Suresh Sharma speaking to media has claimed that “The thieves have decamped with over 21 kg silver ornaments, utensils, and 11 tolla gold ornaments from the shop,” said the owner and also claimed that the robbers have also taken away one double barrel shotgun alongwith cartridges.
Soon after the complaint, a police team rushed to the spot and found that the robbers had entered the shop from the roof-top and also damaged most of the CCTVs.
Police have registered a formal complaint and started investigation into the incident.
