Screening committee for promotion of IPS officers reconstituted

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday ordered the reconstitution of the screening committee for promotion of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers.

An order issued from the general administration department read, “Sanction is hereby accorded to the re-constitution of the screening committee to consider the promotion of IPS officers to the grade of director general of police/additional director general of police or equivalent posts.”

   

The reconstituted committee comprises of chief secretary, B V R Subrahmanyam, as chairman, and director general IMPARD, LokeshDutt, principal secretary home department, R K Goyal, and director general of police, Dilbagh Singh, as members.

“The committee shall be serviced by the home department,” the order further states.
