A soldier was injured on Wednesday along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district where an infiltration bid was foiled.
Defence ministry sources said soldiers noticed suspicious movement in Nowshera area around 5.15am
“A group of heavily armed intruders was challenged after which firing exchanges started between the troopers and the intruders. One soldier sustained injuries during the operation,” informed sources said.
The injured soldier has been admitted to hospital.
“The infiltration attempt was supported by Pakistan army that gave cover fire to the infiltrating militants,” the sources said.
