Staff shortage irks BHSS Mandi students

As the authorities have been delaying the process of fillingthe vacant posts of teachers in Government Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS)Mandi, Poonch, the students of the school claimed that their studies are badlyaffected.

As per the students, there is no teacher of Physics and Urdusubjects in the school for the 11th and 12th standard students while studentsof 9th and 10th class also face shortage of teachers.

   

Abbas Latif, a 10th standard student of the school said, “Thereis no teacher of Mathematics for the students of 9th class since last year.”

“Owing to the shortage of teachers in our school, our futureis limping towards darkness,” he said.

Mushtaq Ahmed, the 12th standard student of the schoolclaimed that there is no teacher of Urdu and Physics for 11th and 12th standardstudents.

Parents of the students claimed that almost three monthshave passed in the current session but the vacancies of the teachers are notfulfilled yet.

They appealed authorities to address their problems at theearliest.

Vice-principal of the school, Abdul Aziz, when contacted,said, “The higher ups have been intimated about the staff shortage and we’rehopeful that the needful will be done soon.”
