Jammu and Kashmir government Thursday ordered hike of 3% in Dearness Allowance (DA) to the State Government employees and pensioners with effect from January 1.
According to a GAD order, in continuation to GovernmentOrder No. 389-F of 2018 dated September 13, 2018, it is hereby ordered that theState Government employees working in regular Pay Levels under 7th PayCommission recommendations, shall be paid Dearness Allowance from existing rateof D.A 9% of Basic Pay to 12% of BasicPay from January 1.
The arrears on account ofthe additional instalment 3 percent from 1st January, 2019, shall be paid toState Government employees in cash in April, 2019 and shall form part of themonthly salary from April, 2019 onwards.
In respect of employees on NPS, Employer’s share of 10% of DA arrears too shall be drawn with equivalent amount as employees share and shall be deducted at source for crediting of same to the respective PRAN numbers.
