Jagjit Kumar takes over as new IGP Traffic

Jagjit Kumar today assumed the charge as Inspector General of Police, Traffic J&K, relieving Shafqat Ali Watali of the additional charge, an official spokesman said.

He said, “Soon after assuming his office, Jagjit Kumar visited different sections of Traffic Headquarters (THQ) and held a meeting with senior officers to discuss measures for streamlining the traffic movement in the State. Later, IGP had a round of Jammu City to take a review of city Traffic.”

Its in place to mention here that Kumar has earlier served the State in different capacities including SP Ganderbal, Traffic, Vigilance, CIK and Poonch, DIG Udhampur Range, Traffic Kashmir and Security J&K.
