To spread awareness among students, Cultural Wing, Department of Information and Public Relations, Jammu organized a symposium cum Cultural Programme on the topic “School based education for drug abuse prevention” at Oriental Academy, Mohalla Afgan, Kachi Chawni, Jammu here today.
Principal of the host school, Vivek Chauhan, was the chiefguest on the occasion.
As many as, 20 students of host school participated in thecontest and expressed their views on the topic.
In the symposium contest, Priya Sharma of class 10th andNistha Jain of 8th class jointly clinched first position while Ayushi Verma andArooj Shakil both of class 10th secured second and third position respectively.
Later, artists of Cultural Wing and Students of the hostschool presented a scintillating cultural programme based on drug abuse andrich folk culture.
Sonu Jain, MonikaSharma and Nivedita acted as judge in the contest. Prizes were also given tothe winners.
