Total Covid-19 cases in J&K 28; govt appeals people to stay indoors

Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday said the number of Covid-19 cases in the union territory was 28, with the active cases 25.

Giving details in a press conference, government spokesman Rohit Kansal said J&K, like the rest of the country, had seen a spurt in Covid-19 cases in the past week.

   

“Total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir is 28,” said Kansal, adding,”the number of active cases is 25, with 21 in Kashmir and four in Jammu division.”

He said the teams formed the government were aggressively tracing the contacts of the infected patients and testing them.

Kansal appealed to the people to help them in these “difficult times”. He said: “It is still not too late. We should stay indoors and follow the directions of the health department.”
