Weeklong workshop on ‘e-Suruksha’ begins at CUJ

A weeklong workshop on the topic-“e-Suruksha”-began here at central university of Jammu (CUJ) on Monday.  

As per the release, the workshop is being organised by the department of computer science and information technology, central university of Jammu, in collaboration with C-DAC Mohali under the aegis of the project on information security education and awareness (ISEA), ministry of electronics and information technology, government of India.

   

The workshop was inaugurated by the chief guest, Prof Ashok Aima, vice-chancellor, central university of Jammu in the main campus of the varsity.

In his presidential remarks, Prof Aima stressed upon the need of imparting training on the contemporary technologies to counter the cyber war in the world.

Further, addressing the audience, he urged the students of department of computer science and IT to contribute in development of application software for various sections of the university. 

The inaugural ceremony of the workshop started with welcome address by DrYashwant Singh, head of department, computer science and IT. He informed the audience about the objective and importance of the tools required for cyber security in modern era of computing.
