Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan, who is overall in-charge of coronavirus control efforts in Kashmir Tuesday convened a meeting to review measures being initiated by various departments regarding prevention and control of COVID19.
TheAdvisor asked the health officials to maintain a constant watch over thesuspected cases and ensure immediate reporting so that COVID19 affected personscould be shifted to the designated hospitals for timely treatment.
Meanwhile, the Advisor helda meeting to review various mitigation activities being undertaken forproviding relief to migrant inter-state and local labourers. During themeeting, Secretary L&E, Saurabh Bhagat briefed the Advisor that LabourCommissioner, J&K has disbursed Rs 16 crore to 1.60 lakh workers @ Rs 1,000per worker as one time relief for procuring essential commodities.
