A youth stabbed a girl to death here at JinderKhurd village falling under the jurisdiction of Bishnah police station and later committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan at his residence, police said.
They said that Rakesh Kumar son of Janak Raj of JinderKhurd stabbed repeatedly ShaluKumari daughter of BadriNath and later hanged himself with the ceiling fan.
“When the family members of the youth reached home, they found the girl lying dead on the bed and youth hanging with the fan. He (youth) was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him as dead on arrival,” police said.
The bodies of the deceased youth and the girl were shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem, police added.
A case under relevant sections of the law has been registered at police station Bishnah while police are ascertaining the reasons as to how the girl reached the residence of the youth.
