A biker died and his pillion rider suffered critical injuries in a road accident in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir on Monday.
Sources said a motorcycle bearing number JKO1AA 5371collided with a tipper bearing number JKO3 7541 near Lar bypass Ganderbalresulting in critical injuries to two persons riding the motorcycle. Both theinjured were shifted to hospital where one of them was declared brought dead.
Incharge police station Lar Mohammed Akbar confirmed toGreater Kashmir that one motorcyclist died while the pillion rider was injuredseriously
He identified the deceased as Uzair Ahmad Lone son ofShowkat Ahmad Lone resident of Duderhama Ganderbal, and injured as Usaid Ahmadson of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Duderhama Ganderbal.
Police have registered a case in this regard and arrestedthe tipper driver.
